Professional Experience
Christina's passion is making great things happen. Christina's drive to create something from nothing was never more evident than her co-founding position at NetFlix. Christina was one of five founders that took NetFlix from notes on a napkin made at Buck's to the great Company that is today (NFLX). As Vice President of Merchandising, Christina was responsible for the customer's experience when renting movies at the NetFlix web site. Creating a great experience is what keeps clients coming back.

Prior to NetFlix, Christina was involved in many "firsts" that gave consumers new and better ways to make their computers work for them. Christina served on both domestic and International marketing and technical support teams that created the fist personal data base, word processor, graphics and desktop publishing for the personal computer.

Struggling with personal finances became a thing of the past with the launch of Quicken. Christina marketed both the Quicken software and printer checks. It was her design that became the first business invoices when QuickBooks was launched.

Christina managed the introduction of the PaperPort Scanner along with the first Scanner/Keyboard. The introduction resulted in unprecedented public relations and consumer response in the scanner industry.

Creating Small Business Success

After leaving high tech marketing, Christina tried many forms of fitness and ways to meet other great women while getting fit. It took only one trip to a San Francisco Pole Dancing Studio to find her next great passion. As a certified Pilates instructor, Christina knew that getting a woman's core fit is so important to her overall health. Adding dance to that goal makes getting fit fun and empowering. Partnering with Pam Courcier was a match made in heaven. Since opening Poletential in November of 2006, they have introduced thousands of women to a new form of exercise and become more satisfied with their bodies and themselves.

Kirby enjoys marketing leading edge technology that provides consumers with a superior entertainment experience. This has lead Kirby to be involved with many industry "firsts" including:

At Stream Machine, Kirby was an integral part of defining and bringing to market the first USB peripheral capable of capturing DVD-quality video, making it fun, easy and affordable for consumers to create DVDs or post videos to YouTube. In addition, he marketed MPEG encoders to enable a new generation of time-shifting TiVo-like  digital video recorders (DVR)/personal video recorders (PVR) and place-shifting Sling Box-like consumer products .

While at LSI Logic, Kirby defined and launched the world's first highly integrated, system-on-a-chip solution for digital cameras. He also was a dynamic leader in marketing Zoran's COACH digital camera chip product line which lead to such innovative end products as the Pure Digital Flip mini-camcorder.

At the height of demand for secure solutions for content providers, Kirby helped to define and market the world's first open standard, digital rights management (DRM) solution for the safe and secure delivery of entertainment content over the Internet and through consumers' home networks.

In addition to enjoying all aspects of marketing and product management, Kirby also enjoys sharing his passion for digital photography with others.
